Survey Interview Face-Off

A special interview by JIFDC.

First off, I would like to say thank you all for visiting this blog. I thought it would be nice to interview a special person about certain aspects regarding online surveys. We will refer to this person as Gayle. Enjoy the post, and I hope that you are able to discover a thing or two with this nice interview.

JIFDC: Hi Gayle, I thought it would be nice to know a little background about yourself so that our readers can better relate to you in a more personal level. Let's break the ice and start off with your age and occupational status?

Gayle: I'm 21 and I am an engineering student.

JIFDC: Very well. What made you decide to start doing online surveys?

Gayle: Ummm, I'm trying to see if I could earn some extra cash.

JIFDC: How long have you been doing it so far? And how is it working out for you?

Gayle: I've been doing online surveys for roughly 6 months. It requires quite some time for you to earn something, but its good.

JIFDC: If you don't mind me asking, for those 6 months, how much have you earned from online surveys? A ballpark number would be nice.

Gayle: I first started with $15 to $20 dollars a month since I was still on the experimental stage. Then after awhile I get to earn $30 dollars a month or more if I get lucky. That's the best way I can answer right now, it's easier thinking on a monthly basis. But that's all approximate values.

JIFDC: That's great Gayle! How much time would you say you invest in taking online surveys?

Gayle: I do it at night before going to sleep together with my internet surfing and other stuff.

JIFDC: That doesn't sound too bad. After all who would just hand you 15 bucks right. Would you say that the chances of earning more depends on how much time you invest in it? Or is it mere luck, and you hope for the best paying surveys?

Gayle: It's both. You get lucky if you qualify with online focus groups that gives out a lot of money. Some, about $30 dollars for a specific survey. But you'll take some time to do it. It's good when you get to qualify for those short and mid-long surveys which gives few dollars because you won't feel to tired answering.

JIFDC: Would you mind sharing with us some survey sites?

Gayle: SurveySpot is really good. The survey invites are significantly a lot more than the other sites. Another one is Opinion Outpost, I have fun doing it and the pay out system is really low, you need not pile up on points or cash just for you to request for your check.

JIFDC: Well, that is very very helpful Gayle. I would like thank you for your time and knowlegde which you have shared with us today. Any last words or advice to our readers?

Gayle: Same as what I read from one of the postings on your blog site.... patience and truthfulness is very essential. Surveys are not something you can play with because it aims to know views from people to make certain products and services better.

Top Choice for Income In Free Sites to Earn Money Taking Online Surveys

Today, I will review a post titled "Get Paid to Take Surveys - Top Choice For Income in Free Sites to Earn Money Taking Online Surveys" by Alan Lim. Click here to read the full article. I honestly found the article to be quite optimistic from a point of view of someone who is actually doing surveys to some extra cash. Nevertheless, It does make an effort to discuss some of the basic advantages of earning money by taking online surveys.

The first 2 paragraphs in summary reveals that less is more. In some cases this is true. As with any work at home jobs, you don't spend for all the extra logistics it would require compared to if you were working in an office or in a similar circumstance. No worries on what to wear, gas, that lunch you would usually grab at the nearest deli or the amount of time wasted on commute. Yes indeed, you get to skip all that mumbo jumbo.

Job satisfaction? Well... it all depends on the person. Are you the type who is patient and love to express your opinions on products like the latest tech gadget soon to be released... or the latest menu item on your local burger joint? If so, then most likely you will find this job opportunity to be satisfying! Work when you want. Yes, you are your own boss but keep in mind that being your own boss could be somewhat of a challenge if you like to slack off (and don't pretend that you don't know what I'm talking about hahaha - you know exactly what I'm talking about). Discipline is key to this business.

There is no investment required for this opportunity. True. All you really need is a computer with an internet connection and you can be on your way to discovering what online surveys can do for you financially. You can take it as far as you like. Just remember to eat timely and sleep timely and I think you'll be alright. I hope you have enjoyed reading my take on the article!

Where Are The Best Free Online Survey Paying Sites

I came across this article while trying to look for more online survey opportunities that I have yet to discover and thought I'd share with you folks my opinions on it. The article can be found here. The author talks about how one does not need to spend money to make money. In most cases this is actually true! Though these opportunities do float around the internet, it can be quite a task to spot them. I suggest trying a few of the free ones first to see where you stand, before actually joining a legitimate service for a fee.

So where can you find these opportunities? The article reveals that one must search for forums whose topics are closely related to money making opportunities. If you have friends that participate in online surveys they may be one your best sources to getting off on the right foot. Trust goes a long way. For starters, I recommend some that my colleague and I have tried and tested and have actually earned quite a bit from. Click here for a list of these free online survey opportunities that can get you started on earning some extra cash. Need proof? Here are some sample checks that we have received!

Going back to the article, the author recommends contacting potential companies that may offer available surveys! The major plus side to this is that you get to choose companies that you are interested in. You will have gained more control over what type of businesses you decide to get affiliated with. Though this method may not provide the most opportunities, it does have potential to grow if you continue to take on more companies and start building a list of your own.

Some opportunities can be spawned from institutions of higher learning. They routinely conduct research projects. Look for bulletin boards! You never know what may be posted. I hope my review of the mentioned article in addition to the resources I have mentioned will prove valuable to those interested in free online survey opportunities! Have a great weekend everyone!

Online Paid Surveys – Internet Jackpot or Petty Cash?

Type the phrase “paid surveys” in Google, and you will see a countless list of paid survey web sites. Some claim $150/hr payment, others say it’s the perfect work at home job, while others say online paid surveys are just a scam. With all of these conflicting links, it’s hard to know what to believe. Are online paid surveys an Internet Jackpot, an online scam, or somewhere in between? Are you missing a great opportunity or should you stay away?

The first thing that you must understand is that market research is a real business. Market Research firms have been paying customers to take surveys and participate in focus groups long before the internet was a household commodity. It’s just that with the increasing number of people online, the internet has become an effective and efficient way for marketing companies to collect data and test their advertisements. Also the internet gives these market research firms access to a wide demographic of users, which allows them to get a better idea of how their products will perform with people of different age, sex, nationality, etc.

Unfortunately, many questionable sites have popped up on the internet which has ruined the image on online paid surveys. These sites usually make outrageous claims about how much money you can make by working from home. They usually charge a “membership fee” to gain access to a list of web sites that conduct online paid surveys. They claim that their lists are special, and offer the highest paying surveys. But the truth is that the survey sites they list can be found for free on the internet. Legitimate market research firms do not charge panel members any fees or try to sell you any products. With a little research you can find all of the quality market research firms yourself. Also, there are several good sites on the internet that offer free reviews and listings. You should never have to pay for information or access to online paid surveys.

Assuming that you manage to avoid the scams, and stick with legitimate market research firms, the question remains is it really worth the time? The answer lies in your expectations. If you are looking for the perfect work at home dream job, this is not it. If you would be happy with an extra couple hundred dollars a month then read on.

The typical pay for any given survey varies, but most offer between $2 to as high as $50 or more per survey. The problem is that these firms are usually looking for a certain demographic, and you may not always qualify for all the paid surveys that are sent your way. These survey invitations are usually sent to you via an email, with details about the incentive offered, and a link to the survey. Usually you are asked to fill out a short screener survey, and if you qualify then you can continue on and earn the full amount promised. If you do not qualify, you are dismissed, with some sites offering a small incentive or a sweepstakes entry for your time. The screener survey usually takes less than 5 minutes, and the full survey can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes.

If you sign up with several quality market research firms, and can qualify for several surveys, you should be able to make anywhere from $50 to several hundred dollars a month for the household petty cash piggy bank. It’s not exactly a fortune, but it can help offset some of your monthly bills, and it only takes a couple hours a week.

About the Author: Jimmy Myers is the editor of Online Paid Surveys Guide, a web site that offers free, paid survey site listings, searchable by regions of UK, United States, Canada, Australia, Asia-Pacific, and International. Listings have detailed descriptions, incentives offered, user and editorial reviews and ratings. In addition the site offers many additional paid surveys resources in the way of tips, user blogs, survey feedback polls, and more.

Discover The Most Popular Paying Online Surveys Right Here

Discover The Most Popular Paying Online Surveys Right Here
Photo Credit: hikingartist / CC BY 2.0
I read an article last week claiming that they discovered the most popular paying online survey sites. Now whether this is true or not, is a matter of trying it out yourself. The article gave us 2 sites, "Paid Surveys Etc." and "Make Money Taking Surveys". Make Money Taking Surveys is owned and operated by Lauren Mitchell and Paid Surveys Etc. by Michelle McAllister. Both were supposedly stay at home moms who later discovered the opportunity of making a living through survey taking. Eventually they made their own survey sites.

Interesting indeed. Scam? Or real? Both sites are running and look well maintained. That's all I can say at this point, and its like what I said, you have to try it to know it.

http://www.paidsurveysetc.com/

http://www.makemoneytakingsurveys.org/

Now, I have to admit that I myself have not tried the sites mentioned. Why? Well, honestly I am still in the phase of using sites where I don't have to pay a fee. The two sites above require a fee. Maybe one day I will try it. Being a mother myself, I am somewhat motivated after reading that those 2 work at home moms became successful with taking online surveys that pay. I will say that even by just sticking to free survey sites, I am earning some extra cash. So what more if I join the survey sites that have a fee for access to there resources and programs. Who knows? Maybe I could be making more! We'll see.

What caught my attention, was the article's claim that paid sites offer better customer service and that they don't give you garbage surveys that pay very little. Instead they give you high paying surveys. A tempting offer, but is it true? The only way to really find out is by reading and searching for lots and lots of reviews, or if you want a quick answer, I guess you have to cough up the extra cash and pay the fee to try it out and see if it is a true claim.

I will definitely write about it when I get to it. In the meantime, if anybody has an opinion, review or experience with the any of the 2 sites mentioned, please feel free to comment! Thanks!

How You Can Get Paid for Online Survey

How You Can Get Paid for Online Survey
So you have seen it on the internet everywhere. Get paid for online surveys! Real paying online surveys! Surveys for cash! Is all this for real? Let me be one of many to say YES, it is for real! If you have been reading my posts, then you probably have noticed some of my posts that show proof of payment. It works, no doubt about it. I won't lie and say they there are no scam sites, they exist, but there are sites that actually pay and many have earned some extra cash from this opportunity.

There are many companies that pay big money in order to get customer feedback. Companies usually pay big bucks on advertisement and are curious to know if it was all worth it. So paying you (myself including) a few dollars in exchange for your time and opinion is nothing compared to the money they spend for advertising! So take advantage of this and register with sites that are affiliated with Fortune 500 companies. You can expect surveys that pay you ranging from $2 to $50, the amount you get totally depends on the company conducting the survey, the duration of the survey and other similar factors.

Keep in mind that there will be survey sites that pay in the form of points that can be converted to cash, discounts or merchandise. So if you are after cash, be sure to investigate ahead of time before joining a site and then later being disappointed that they don't pay in the form of cash. Plan ahead and make a list of sites, or better yet, make several lists of sites to distinguish the ones that pay in cash, the ones that pay in gift cards and the ones that pay in discounts. Organizing and managing your resources will certainly improve your efficiency and increasing your revenue at the same time. Also, something to take note of, is that different sites pay using different methods. Some sites will send you money through PayPal and some will send you checks. This may or may not be a factor in choosing which sites to join but may prove useful.

This opportunity is available to everyone and you can earn some extra cash by doing online surveys. The amount you earn will depend on your effort and strategy, so plan it out and see how much you can make!

Making Money With Paid Surveys

Making Money With Paid SurveysRichard Goldie who is the owner of survey-reviews.co.uk wrote an interesting article about making money with paid surveys. He pointed out several interesting realities of this so called money-making-opportunity and how the internet can somehow replace the exercise of filling out forms or having to answer questions on the phone. Some people just want to do this from a chair in front of a computer in the comfort of their own home! And why not?! I myself would opt for this. You don't need to answer the phone every time it rings. What if you were in the bathroom! Taking surveys online allows you to do things at your own pace, when you want, where you want. You are the boss.

Richard Goldie derived four important tips in his article to help survey takers get more paid surveys:

  1. Look for paid survey forums. The bigger forums are the most useful, mainly because they are always packed with topics about the best place to get paid surveys.
  2. Leave your name and email address with websites even if they say they have no paid surveys at the moment. They may get fresh surveys in that you fit the profile for and you will be the first person they will contact.
  3. Take surveys that are not for money. Sites sometimes use these to test people out before offering surveys that pay money.
  4. Always fill in surveys quickly. Not just so that you can fill in more if you do them quickly but also it lets the market research companies see that you can be trusted to do good quick work. This will get you more paid survey work.

Make this a habit, and you will no doubt increase your opportunities.

Paid Online Surveys Questionnaires - The Best 4

I read an article supposedly written for Good Internet Money which enlist what may be the best 4 paid online surveys questionnaires out there. And to my excitement, I have to say that I have experience with 2 already.

The top 4 mentioned were:

  1. Survey Spot (I am happy with this!)
  2. Harris Poll Online (have not tried this yet.)
  3. ACOP (not too many offers)
  4. Global Test Market (this is a good one.)
As you can tell, I like Survey Spot and Global test Market the best. I cannot really say with Harris Poll Online as I have not been exposed to this until now. Maybe I will give it a shot.

For some it may be a walk in the park... for other it may be your most frustrating venture you have undertaken. So it really depends on you. Nothing is easy, nothing is free. Why not free? because time my friend, is money. Time is money. And if your not willing to invest your time into surveys, then its hard to say if it would be worth your time. if you are willing to invest your time and intend to turn many of the survey opportunities available into cash, well I suggest you read some of the articles we have posted on this blog along with some basic essential requirements for anyone who wants to get started with this opportunity. I will now enumerate these vital requirements:

  1. Time. (As I have discussed earlier.)
  2. Dedication. (You cannot give up because you simply don't earn as much as you have dreamed of, trail and error. That is the key.)
  3. Honesty. (Companies are looking for honest answers, and are willing to pay those who answers honestly whether it may be negative or positive. They will not invest their money on false data)
  4. Reliable Equipment. (Save yourself the trouble and make sure you have a reliable computer and internet connection as it is just as important as the 3 requirements above. It will make you more efficient and productive.)

Reward Items

Not all surveys offer cash, other survey sites use rewards to compensate for the points earned from surveys. I personally haven't tried claiming some reward items because I'm still, up to now saving up my points to get a bigger reward. Why am I still saving it all when I can just simply get any other item with the points I have? Since I'm earning from other survey sites extra cash already, I thought that the other survey sites which use rewards can give me better and bigger items. Ipsos I-say has alot of choices to choose from and I'm opting on the leisure rewards like amusement park, aquariums & resorts pass. At least by the time I piled up the points I need, I know I have sure pass to places I want to visit and the best part is....FREE! Thinking of having some vacation will be lighter for the budget since I cut off a big chunk of amount already. With MySurvey & Zoom Panel, I'm stacking up my points to claim some appliance and gadgets that I'd like to have without needing to buy it cash anymore. There's a slim DVD player set and Digital Camera I'm eyeing in those 2 sites. I'm way up and almost reaching those rewards! I'm just sharing this to all of you so that I can prove in a way that by doing some surveys during my free time, I'm not wasting my efforts answering surveys because I'm being rewarded in return. It's pretty tiring at times I admit but that's how it is. Nothing can be so easy.

The truth about surveys...

Been doing surveys for about half a year already, personally I'd say it really pays off. Honestly being a survey taker isn't my primary job, it's really just an extra for me. Having some dollars to do partial grocery or just buy anything and some reward items from survey points isn't bad at all. You can do surveys leisurely with your own time. Nothing really complicated. Just keep answering the survey invitations and that's it. Good for you if you qualify for that certain survey and if not, just keep doing it... no other way.
Will be posting soon some more recent checks I earned... I think it's the best way to let you all know that you can really get something from the survey sites I listed on my previous posts.

That's not all, did you know that you can also be paid to browse ads, try out offers and read emails? It doesn't give you big bucks clicking or reading at once but it gives a few cents per click or email read or viewed. Not bad for doing just a regular thing like browsing emails and advertisements. However, trying out offers is far more rewarding since you'll get to earn while completing offers whether it's a free offer or paid offer. So feel free to explore all these possibilities.

But don't over do it too! Stay sane!

How I Got Started With Doing Surveys

How I Got Started With Doing Surveys

Given the chance to earn a little extra cash, will you be interested enough? I kind of got stuck with the thinking "ANYTHING HELPS" so I started checking on ways on how to earn extra cash doing thing via internet. I came across experimenting on "Free-Paying online surveys". After some researches I decided to join my first ever survey company "SurveySpot" and after receiving and taking several qualifying surveys, finally started generating some extra cash for me. As I continue earning dollars taking up surveys, still some doubts if this kind of thing really works since I haven't received my real pay from all the surveys I did. Finally upon completing my first month I requested for my check and after nearly a month, I received my SurveySpot check amounting to $37. I know this isn't much but who cares? I got my extra cash and my doubts are gone about these survey sites as I've proved myself these things really work. After SurveySpot, I challenged myself to join other survey sites so I could earn more.
